On Socotra island there is a new amazing under water world, You can dive and snorkel in the crystal clear waters of Socotra Island, you will see many bright-colored fishes and corals and others sea creatures. You may even be able to see the recent discovery of a coral drawing of one of the best diving locations on the Island of Socotra.

 Several sites have incredibly diverse communities of beautiful soft corals, and there are huge numbers of fish, large and small.

At the limestone cliffs on the south side of any of the islands there are surreal landscapes of caverns, chasms, cliffs and sculpted rocks, all covered with an amazing array of algae, worms, sea squirts and corals. Through this landscape drift, swim and dart fish of all shapes and sizes. Sharks are rare guests.

The climate is mild all year round (except during the monsoon), and temperatures range from 27 to 36°C, depending on the season. Crystal clear waters and the likelihood of viewing species like barracudas, monkfish, dolphins, rays and even mantas are the main reasons why lovers of this sport consider the island of Socotra more and more for their diving holidays.

The majority of diving on the Island is drift diving along the walls and coral gardens of the outer reefs, with the dive boat following along on the surface to meet you upon ascent.

In the deep water, more than 800 different species of coral have been classified together with thousands of fishes and shellfishes. Incredibly colorful coral can be found from 3.5 to 25 meters. These waters are suitable also for snorkeling and of great value to the tourist due to the numerous fishes and coral, they will see.

With unparalleled biodiversity and beauty, Socotra Island dive sites make naturally exciting snorkeling as well. Watch multitudes of colorful reef fish glide among dense coral formations sprinkled with giant clams, as well as turtles, sharks, and barracudas which can be seen whilst enjoying the soothing tranquility of this fascinating paradise.
